113...My Favorite Things...New Stuff!

It's been a little while!  In the midst of taxes and getting ready for Spring Market, Paton and I came down with a horrible flu.  When you live in the middle of nowhere, with no deli on the corner to bring you soup and tea and sandwiches...it's even worse being sick.  It started with sneezing, I didn't think much of it, since things were starting to bloom a bit outside, then the next thing I know it...whammo, flat on our backs for 4 days.  Another few days of brain fog as all of the cold remedies flush out of my system, and wa-la...a littl sneak peak of what's new for Spring market.

Meet BOB, that's short for "Boy Oh Boy"...It's my first collection of boy/toddler designs on fabric.  We'll do charm squares again as a promo at Spring Quilt market, in this new palette, that has lots of my favorite blues and greens, and even some new browns.  (Those of you who have been bugging me to do something in browns (and you know who you are)...a drum roll please!

Bob

On a sad note, Paton found our little Jasmine floating in the lake a couple of days ago.  We assume that she accidentally fell in, and in the cold water she didn't have much of a chance to save herself.  Jasmine was such a creature of habit, so we just knew that something bad happened when she didn't show up for meals back in February.  The freakiest part of this story, is our neighbors who live 6 houses down, lost their beautiful Siberian Husky a week or so ago in the middle of the night.  They searched everywhere, and then a couple of days later Tundra also was also found mysteriously floating in the lake.  We are such animal lovers here, almost everyone on our street has a cat, or dog or both, it's been a real shock to all of us.

With the temporary set back of the flu, most of the things we've moved to the office are still in boxes, but I'll have more to show and tell very soon...new spring things are arriving every day!

So sorry about Jasmine.. that's really sad. There's not some pet-hater in the neighborhood is there? The poor dog in the lake as well makes this girl suspicious.

Anyway love the new Boy-stuff. Very cute. Sorry you've been ill. I was down for about 3 stinken weeks. Nasty flu for sure.

See ya soon!

Very sorry to hear about Jasmine. It sounds like you're getting better which is good! Love the Boy Oh Boy, but love the girlie stuff more. Having 3 boys will do that to a person!

I am so sorry to hear about Jasmine! Pets are such a wonderful part of the family. Maybe there is a new kitty or puppy in your future?

I really like your new line, too cute!

Oh my gosh! I am sooo sorry to hear about Jasmine! My heart sinks for you! I am glad to hear that you are on the recovery train and the fabric looks wonderful, I can't wait to see all it's coordinates!

oh so sorry to hear about Jasmine... so sad!

I bet there are few really good 'boy' collections out there... you're a genius ;-)

Good luck with it!

isn't life just a jumble of good and bad?! i'm so sorry to hear about your Jasmine. and i think your new line of fabrics is terrific--i have two boys and the usual trains and dinosaurs get a little tiring (not that they're complaining). i'm looking forward to seeing the whole line--i love ALL your fabrics.

I'm really excited by the sneak peek of your boy collection!

Love the boy fabric.

How heartbreaking.... our pets are such an important part of our families.

Can't wait to get my hands on some of that adorable fabric! Do you know when it will be available?

I absolutely LOVE the new fabrics, as usual!!! Can't wait to get my order in!!!

Kris

I'm lovin what I can see of bob, so sorry to hear about Jasmine. Did you ever name your pattern for the hydranga quilts?

Sorry for your loss. Pets play such large & valuable rolls in our lives.

I just love the fabric! When will we see it in Australia? Can't wait!

Oh, poor little Jasmine. I'm so sad for you Holly. And I hope you're all past your flu now -- I just figured you've been swamped with market coming up. What CUTE, ADORABLE fabric! Where were you when my boys were little? (Love that ice cream cone!) Can't wait to see the booth and quilts made from this fabric!

Holly, Sorry about your loss.

I love the new fabric! I can't wait to see it in person. (PS.I'll be at Market in Portland next month.) I look forward to meeting you!

Take care, Vivian Love

How sad about Jasmine. I'm so sorry. But I'm glad that you guys are feeling better after the nasty flu. I love your little boy line of fabric. ADORABLE!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Jasmine. Something similiar happened in my neighborhood. About 7 years ago 2 of my cats went missing, and then the next door neighbors. We never did find them. That has always bothered me not knowing.

I love the new fabric line. I have 3 grandsons, so this will be perfect!

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about Jasmine! And the neighbor's dog too? This all seems very odd to me, cats hate water. Is there some animal hater in your neighborhood that people need to be on the lookout for maybe?

That's kind of scary about Jasmine & the husky. I've had a few huskys and they're quite strong, and of course resilient to the cold. I can't imagine one falling in any body of water & drowning. I hope someone has reported the incidents to the police just to be cautious. Hopefully there was no foul play involved.

Hello Holly! I have searched for an email address for you...I am looking for your fabric that has the vintage spool ends on it...I saw it made up into bags on a blog and loved it...if you can help me find some I would appreciate it...thanks! Mary Jo in Iowa

So sorry that you have been under the weather...no fun. I'm loving your new fabric, very fresh!

Take care,

Cherri

Poor little Jasmine!

Your new line of fabric looks all too tempting...

I am so sorry to hear of your recent loss. We have recently lost one of our beloved fur babies, too, and are facing the possibility of losing another.

I am currently making a quilt and I am using your "Lakehouse LH03015 Painted Basket" in green. It is gorgeous and I find that I am just about one yard short and that I cannot not find it anywhere! Do you have any left that I can buy? I would really appreciate this.

Bette

So Very Sorry to hear about Jasmine. I lost my Lab today (10 yrs old) to a blood/heart disease, so I know how it feels to love a beloved friend. I hope you are feeling better soon. You all are in my prayers, Hugs, Mary

Holly, I am so sorry to hear about Jasmine.

I wanted to let you know Ilove the Boy oh Boy fabric and am dying to get my hands on some to make stuff for my two little ones.

I also just bought some of the little girl alphabet panels (I saw the name pillows made with it in this month's B&G quilting magazine) and am excited to make some for my niece's. Anyway, any chance you will be making a boy version of the alphabet??

Have a great weekend!
