My Favorite Things...211...Dinner with Friends!

Hello again from Minnesota.

Here is the last in the series of 6 inspiration pages that we put in the sales booklet for the new Penelope collection...

 

I designed a quilt for Beth Hayes at McCall's Quilting magazine using richly colored fabrics from the Penelope collection.  The color palette of this quilt will be a lot like the collage above.  The design will be completely different of course, but the colors are really rich, romantic and will have some of my favorite pinks in it.

I'll show you more when we get the quilt made this fall.  We'll be printing the Penelope fabrics in August after our selling period (that started here yesterday at quilt market).  Quilt shop owners should order Penelope by the end of July, to insure that their order is 100% complete.

On another note, a few "Cliff Notes" on dinner last night, with one of our little quilt community's favorite bloggers (& tweeters)...see if you can guess who she is...

We went to dinner at Oceanaire in the same building as our hotel, it's a festive restaurant with great fresh fish and even better cocktails.  Our drinks come, and we are all telling stories & laughing over amazing appetizers & fruity drinks in tall stemmed glasses.  Fifteen minutes in, I look to my right and notice that one of our dinner pals has a chesire cat like grin on her face.  She was practically purring with delight..."OMG" she says, "This is the best cocktail I've had in 25 years.  Heck, it's the only cocktail I've had in 25 years"...

Anyway, we had a lot of laughs...

So the question is, can you guess who our mystery dinner companion was?

Ummmm, The Happy Zombie??? I really have no idea? I'm sooo sorry that I didn't get time to go by your booth -- we were so swamped I barely got out. Your new Penelope line looks fantastic and I would have loved to pet it! It was wonderful and very exciting to finally meet you Holly!
