These SweetHeart Roses remind me so much of the lush flowers in our Penelope series...And by-golly, it's that time...Penelope 4 5 & 6 are being packed & readied to leave our warehouse on the East Coast as I write...
Even better, I have done a few new designs that can use any of your favorite Penelope Fabrics...(1,2,3,4,5 or 6...) These quilts weren't in the latest Penelope 4, 5, 6 sales booklets, so your LQS hadn't seen them until last week in Kansas City at Jennifer's booth...
That's the Big News...Jennifer Bosworth of Shabby Fabrics has graciously taken on the writing & publishing of my quilt designs. This is a huge relief to me on so many levels...writing patterns has always been a challenge. I've received my share of hate mail over patterns that took me weeks & months to conceptualize, write, check, re-check & re-check again...And when I am writing patterns, I am not designing fabric & quilts...Of course those of you who have seen how Jennifer writes a quilt pattern or her beautiful Block of the Month programs...know why I am clicking my heels!
Thank you Jennfier for freeing me up to do more of the projects that I have been thinking about for years, but haven't had the time to focus on...I am chomping at the bit to do my first Block of the Month...I can't wait.
Here's the first two of my quilt designs that Shabby Fabrics Pattern Company will be publishing that use new Penelope Fabrics. First, the "Teacup Star" quilt...
Second, the Scrap Happy Baskets quilt...
Lots more on my favorite Penelope fabrics, projects & people too, coming up...
Back soon...H2
Love your fabrics and designs! I hadn't been able to quilt for years and about a year and a half ago, I got to finally make a quilt and I chose a pattern of yours and your beautiful fabrics. It was great - and I thought your instructions were perfect!!!! I have hoarded a lot of Lakehouse fabrics in hopes of making more quilts soon! Every time I walk by that quilt, it makes me smile. I searched high and low all over the internet for old magazines with your patterns in them and just wanted you to know I love your designs! :O) Love Shabby Fabrics, too! Looking forward to seeing your BOM! Count me in! :O)

I love your fabric's and have a kit I purchased a few years ago, just getting to it. Has black background and Roses and a fabric of white background and Roses and dots and strips. I tried www.starshinequilting.com and it is not there. for the color to watch and instruction. I have Page 1 of Cheryl's Tip Sheet #2, but no color print, would you have a color print to email me of this quilt? I want to make it for my grand daughter's graduation coming up. My paper says Rainbow Chain Quilt Instructions, if you can help, write me please, at aplivingcolor@gmail.com thanks, Alice

I really like the baskets! That is nice that you have Jennifer to write the patterns so you have more time for designing. I don't know how you do it all!
